Aire Berria offers a lovely house experience amidst the serene Basque countryside. While it isn’t a five-star hotel, its charm lies in the balance of comfort and a welcoming atmosphere. The hosts, Cristina and Xavier, truly elevate the experience, providing valuable insights into the area. A spacious room with elegant decor welcomes you, and the soundproofed environment ensures a restful night's sleep, which I appreciated given my travel-infused exhaustion! Cristina’s breakfasts are a highlight—simple yet delightful, featuring fresh local ingredients. The communal dining encourages interaction with fellow guests, contributing to a friendly ambiance. While the Wi-Fi struggled a bit in my room, it was ultimately not a hindrance. Is the pricing reflective of luxury? Perhaps not entirely, but the combination of hospitality, comfort, and location certainly makes it a sound choice for those exploring the Basque region thoughtfully. For what you get, I’d say it’s a wise investment in your travel journey.
